My name is Kat.
I work Remotely out of Central Wisconsin.

Over my career, I’ve created interfaces on the web, desktop, mobile, and other mobile devices for enterprise software. I’ve worked with marketing, other designers, researchers, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to create elegant solutions for improving the daily lives of end-users. I'm proud that this work has resulted in 12 design patents, a passion for security, accessibility, design thinking, a love of knowledge sharing and mentorship, and a need to do work that matters.

As a strong proponent for user-focused design, I enjoy engaging with other usability and accessibility advocates; coaching on design systems and deliverable use, optimizing the design process, fleshing out design systems, and creating awareness of design-thinking processes across Agile Scrum development teams. I love the challenge of learning new tech - I've worked in everything from Adobe CS, to Sketch and figma, Axure (with Abstract), directly in code, Balsamiq and more - and can't wait for the next challenge.

I love spending time with new team members, providing mentorship, and working to help them acclimate to our company and our processes. I love learning, and sharing what I know, whether it's a new productivity tip, a new figma trick, or how to use process to optimize the time we spend on zero-sum tasks and ultimately spend more time doing what we love - designing!

I would love to chat with you and discover how we can collaborate on something new!

In my free time I love finding a good book, drawing, writing, crafting or grabbing some friends to sit down for some boardgames! You can often find me taking photos, chatting about the books I’ve been reading, or thinking about my latest DIY/craft projects. I love to travel in my free time, and I adore geeky things and my two golden retrievers, Jupiter and Jester.
